Can you put electric stove burners in a sink full of water to wash them?

no, you cannot wash them. just wipe them off and run them really hot to burn anything else off. i think that they are like an enamel coated graphite coil and putting them under water will mess up the coating. if the coating is messed up, they would short out when you put the pot or pan on them. Can you put electric stove burners in a sink full of water to wash them?
I ALWAYS JUST LOAD MY STOVE ON TO MY TRUCK AND DRIVE IT THROUGH THE CAR WASH , AND THEN WHILE I DRIVE HOME IT GETS BLOWN DRY BY THE WIND,,, BUT JUST TO MAKE SURE WHEN I GET HOME ..I GET MY MOTHERINLAW TO PLUG IT IN ,, WORKS EVERY TIME...Can you put electric stove burners in a sink full of water to wash them?
If you are talking about the burners themselves ...washing them will not do as good as using them. You will never be able to wash of what the heat won't burn.

If you are talking of the thingy ma jiggys underneath the burners, washing them with a brillo pad may work but as above said, just buy new ones.
Yes, just dry them really good before you plug them back in.
yes,its perfectly ok to wash them in the sink full of water. just make sure to dry them off good b4 using them
NO use a damp cloth with a mild detergent to wipe, then rinse cloth and wipe, repeating until there is no more soap.
no it is best to just buy somemore
