Check the wattage rating of your machines. 1kw will use one unit of electricity per hour so a 3 Kw will use about 3 units.


In the UK you can have Economy 7 over night. In the summer it is between 1am and 8am. In winter because the clocks go back and the meter clock is not changed the E7 time is midnight to 7am. The cost in this period is 5p per unit which is a big saving. daytime costs are around 20p per unit. I put my machines on overnight set on a time Switch.
