my washing machine has suddenly started tripping the electric today? its done it about 5 times till i gave up and ended up handwashing the clothes thats were in it!

Maybe it uses to much electricity or you have to many things running at once. Make sure you do not have a coffee pot, iron or hair dryer going at the same time. There maybe a problem with it, if it does this everytime you used it today. You should call the place where you got it %26amp; see if they have any advice or could send some one out to look at it. It should not be doing that. I use my washing machine to do 3 loads of laundry a day %26amp; never have any problems. It sounds like it is overtaxing the breaker it is on. Figure out which breaker it is on and how much you have running at one time on that breaker. You might have to turn something else off in order to get your washing machine going. We've been having this problem in our house and the only permanent fix if its the breaker is to install a bigger one or a whole separate one for your washing machine.
do you have heaters or some appliances plugged in that you ussaly don't have? if not then the washer may need repair
