There should be a tag attached that gives you the instructions. If not, see this

I bough a twin size Sunbeam brand electric blanket ,It said on the front of the package ';machine washable';.I washes it at home .It never worked again! I think a front load washer might of help if I had used one of them. But I think its a gamble.
There should be a tag on it telling you how to clean it. I have one that's years old and I machine wash it all of the time Have never had a problem.
Should be a label attached, see what it says. Most are NOT washable.
I wash our electric blanket in the washer all the time. Disconnect the controls. Line dry it.
I have had the same electric blanket for almost 20 years. Just throw it in the washing machine on the gentle cycle and warm NOT hot water and a small amount of detergent. Air dry or put in the dryer on air only, NO hot air.
If you aren't sure then don't for your own safety
