My washing machine keeps tripping the electric in my flat?

what could be wrong? is it not worth repairing? any advice would be helpful thanksMy washing machine keeps tripping the electric in my flat?
In the UK? The trip goes because there is an electrical fault with your machine and to save you from being electrocuted. If the same trip and the same machine were once ok together then there might have been a leak of water onto the connecting block of the machine (where the mains lead goes in) You must get the machine looked at either by an electrician or by a service engineer. My washing machine keeps tripping the electric in my flat?
It is not plugged into an outlet that is meant for that much power. Ask the landlord what outlet is proper, and if he says that its in the right one let him know, this can be a fire harzard. Please be careful a fire in the wall or in a machine is hard for you to get to put out on your own, its dangerous ok.
It could simply be the plug to the appliance - check it out and insert a new fuse - this should blow before your main trip switch to the house does. If this happens, then for sure, there is a problem with the appliance. If it's still on guarantee, call out whoever. Otherwise you might consider a repair job.

If all else fails and you can afford it, buy a brand new machine, but only if your existing machine is more than 5 years old.

There is either a fault in the machine, i.e. the earth is touching a live part in the machine causing a fault trip or the breaker size needs to be increased.
Get a qualified electrician to look at the plug %26amp; socket, maybe it's not earthed which can be dangerous. Don't use the machine until it's been checked out.
Mine was doing that a year or so ago. It needed new brushes - cost a couple of quid - now good as new.
