My electric blanket needs washing... can I dry it in the electric dryer? Will it shrink?

The instructions on the label have faded so much I can't read the instructions. Have you ever dried an electric blanket in the dryer? How did it turn out? Did it shrink? My electric blanket needs washing... can I dry it in the electric dryer? Will it shrink?
I wash mine 3X a year, and put it in the dryer. Never shrank. It's 9 years old. Hanging won't hurt.My electric blanket needs washing... can I dry it in the electric dryer? Will it shrink?
The Electric blanket has small wires in it , , , , thats Y they call it electric.

If you even wash it in a normal washing machine you might have either seriously shortened its life , made it a health hazard , or it's ' history' already. . .

Wash gently as far as movement is concerned , using something like a soft scrub brush, you can even do it outside, or over a table, or in the tub. Use similar treatment to dry , Leaving it draped flat over a pole , or place several layers of loose cotton towels over a kitchen table and let it hang down all around . Turn over after a few hours. Obviously this would be easy in the warmer climates to do this outside.

Explore other heating options in your bedroom.
Why dont you use resolve for fabrics it work very well! I wouldnt dry it at all in the dryer even though some say you can !

You have wires in there that will eventually dry out and never

work again or could even start a dryer fire!

I would spot clean or just let it be.You can also contact the company that makes it and they will give you a sure answer!

Good Luck!

your friend,

Hope For All !!!!!!!!!
NEVER dry an electric blanket in the dryer. Allow it to air dry. I used to drape mine over my kitchen table and chairs.
Its electric!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
