Kenmore (Whirlpool) electric washing machine motor quit?

Is this a motor which the brushes can easily be replaced or is it one which needs replaced? The motor did work, but just quit. I've tried repair forums, but they play games with registration or want fees I don't have.Kenmore (Whirlpool) electric washing machine motor quit?
Are you sure its the motor? Are the timer and door switches working. If you careful you can connect motor to power and try if you know electricity. There are used motors are rebuilt ones at local shops and all over the net for decent prices.Kenmore (Whirlpool) electric washing machine motor quit?
it sounds to me like a bad switch or a sticking relay.I have no direct expireance with that type of setup.the hum is indicative of the start windings most washers have a centrifugal switch that feeds the start windings until it gets up to speed then it switches to the run windings.that relay(switch) my be the culprit if it has a start capacitor then that may be bad the reason it hummed and then quit is that you tripped the motor overload that keeps from burning your motor up. If I were you I'd have an appliance tech take a look or at least someone who knows motors
